Sinead has over 25 years of experience working in trust administration, specializing in assisting people with special needs and their families navigate the complexities of Supplemental Needs Trusts. Sinead is a passionate advocate for clients, collaborating with families, attorneys, financial advisors, and various social and government agencies to ensure clients receive the benefits to which they are entitled. Sinead works closely with clients to find creative solutions to their individual needs and concerns.

 

Sinead began her career in the trust industry as a Trust Operations Manager at Hudson Valley Bank in Yonkers, New York. During her seven years in this position, she gained insight and appreciation for the special needs community and transitioned from trust operations to trust administration. She continued as Vice President and Trust Officer for an additional 12 years at Hudson Valley Bank, specializing in all aspects of trust administration with over 120 client relationships.

 

In 2016, Sinead joined Orange Bank & Trust Company as Vice President and Senior Trust Officer. She established and developed the bank’s Special Needs Trust division to service the Westchester and metro New York markets. Over the next seven years, Sinead grew the department’s assets from zero to over a quarter billion dollars and grew the client relationships from zero to over 325. Sinead accomplished this growth in collaboration with an initial team of two trust professionals, expanding to a team of seven, each of whom she mentored and managed. Sinead was promoted to 1st Vice President and Senior Trust Officer in 2021. She managed over 140 of her own client relationships and worked closely with many referring attorney firms. She developed her network with other trust professionals by speaking at various seminar presentations and bar association events.

 

Sinead was born in Dublin, Ireland. She graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology and emigrated to New York over 30 years ago. Prior to working in trust administration, Sinead worked for four years with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in the World Trade Center, NYC. She completed various trust and financial courses with Cannon Trust School and is a Certified Special Needs Planner.
